Job summary

Vernova Healthcare CIC is seeking a capable healthcare assistant to support the Ultrasound Service across East Cheshire sites. You will prepare patients, check IDs, act as chaperone, and help keep scanning rooms clean and safe.

Shifts are mainly Wednesdays and Thursdays from 08:30 to 17:30 with some flexibility, and you will travel between sites as needed. The role requires independence and adherence to infection control and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification against referrals
• Prepare patients for their examinations
• Support sonographers during and between scans
• Act as chaperone during scans
• Help maintain appointment schedules
• Communicate with patients to keep operations running smoothly and the patient experience good
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment
• Follow infection control practices
• Follow established procedures, protocols and guidelines
• Use CRIS for patient documentation
• Manage and upload images to PACS
