Job summary

Intertek is seeking Ultrasonic Immersion Technicians in Derby to inspect components using advanced ultrasonic immersion systems. The role focuses on collaboration with the team to deliver accurate inspections and contribute to ongoing testing development in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have NAS410 or PCN qualifications, a background in engineering or NDT, and a solid grasp of mathematical formulae. Flexible shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating ultrasonic immersion systems and performing scans.
• Knowledge of NAS410 or PCN ultrasonic qualifications is preferred.
• Background in engineering and/or NDT with good mathematical understanding.
• Able to work with procedures in a fast-paced environment and liaise with customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ultrasonic immersion inspections and scans of components.
• Perform system and process checks and ensure quality.
• Coordinate with customers to build strong relationships and support testing development.

Job description

You will have experience working with ultrasonic inspection systems and a background in engineering and/or NDT. You’ll be a reliable team player with a strong attention to detail, capable of working accurately to procedures and techniques within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have ultrasonic qualifications such as NAS410 or PCN, good computer literacy, and a solid understanding of mathematical formulae. A flexible approach to shifts and weekend working is essential, along with the ability to work to tight timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.

Required skills and experience:

• Operation of Ultrasonic Immersion Systems to carry out scans of components
• Performing of system/process control checks
• 1000 Gate Inspections
• Close customer liaison and relationship building
