Job summary

Intertek Group is seeking a qualified NDT Technician to perform inspections across customer sites in the UK and support work in the Derby laboratory. You will utilize UT, MPI, and DPI techniques, with training opportunities in Phased Array, and report results clearly within audited quality systems.

The role offers varied site work, a focus on career development, and collaboration with customers and auditors to deliver technical excellence.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic testing capability.
• Phased Array PCN Level 2 certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Able to adapt to changing environments and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out NDT inspections predominantly at customer sites across the UK.
• Assist with work in the Derby laboratory when required.
• Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Engage with customers and quality auditors to ensure high standards.

Job description

You are a qualified NDT Technician with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and delivering accurate inspection results. You hold PCN Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), with Phased Array and Eddy Current qualifications or experience being advantageous. You enjoy working in a customer-facing environment, are comfortable travelling to sites across the UK, and can adapt to changing priorities and project requirements. You take pride in producing clear, accurate reports and understand the importance of working within audited quality systems. Most importantly, you have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to develop your career in Non-Destructive Testing.

Required skills and experience:

Ultrasonic Level 2 PCN

Phased Array Level 2 PCN or experience (preferred)

Ability to adapt to a changing environment and projects

Join a growing Site Services team where no two days are the same. This role offers the opportunity to work on customer sites across the UK, carrying out a variety of NDT inspections, while also supporting work within our Derby laboratory. Key activities:

NDT Inspection predominantly on customer’s sites, but will also involve working in our Derby Laboratory

Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Magnetic and Penetrant inspection

Willingness to learn and develop NDT career with a flexible attitude to a changing environment
