Job summary

CVI Infrared Optics, part of the IDEX MSS platform, is seeking an experienced SPDT Technician to operate ultra-precision diamond turning equipment for high-precision infrared and visible optical components in a controlled fabrication environment.

You will read drawings, select tooling, and perform in-process inspections to ensure high-quality parts while maintaining TPM practices and a strong focus on safety and cleanliness in a precision manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating SPDT or CNC Lathe machinery.
• Experience manufacturing to micron/sub-micron tolerances and high surface finish.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SPDT machines to produce high-precision optical components.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with tolerances and surface quality.
• Select tooling, fixtures and machine parameters for production activities.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision metrology equipment.
• Maintain clean, controlled manufacturing environment and traceability.
