Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a UKI Value & Promotional Strategy Manager to translate central initiatives into high-impact UKI campaigns. You will own the UKI promotional calendar, define value strategies for customers and merchants, and localise global strategies for UKI.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years experience in Marketing or Commercial role with value/promotional campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership to gain buy-in.
  • Analytical and commercial with comfort interpreting data (Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving and quick delivery mindset.
  • Self-starter in a fast-paced matrix organisation with change.
  • Track record of delivering results quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of UKI local promotions and merchant offers and strategy.
  • Ongoing weekly and monthly performance reporting and campaigns.
  • Champion customer and partner voices in promotions with commercial, finance, and partner-facing teams.
  • Collaborate with Insights and Data Science to understand customer needs.
  • Adapt global UKI strategies to local market priorities and merchant needs.
  • Define and implement promo strategies to hit objectives and KPIs.
  • Coordinate between central and local marketing for foundations and targeting.
  • Define high-value discount, vouchers, and offers to maximise ROI and partner growth.
  • Pitch promotional programmes to commercial stakeholders for buy-in.
  • Monitor competitor activity to refine regional strategies.
  • Own Go-To-Market strategy and sell-in for UKI promotions.

About the role

As the UKI Value & Promotional Strategy Manager you will translate central initiatives and promotions into high impact UKI campaigns. You will have end-to-end ownership of the UKI promotional calendar along with defining the value strategy for both customer and merchants, liaising, pitching and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders and localising the Global strategy for UKI. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will work cross-functionally to optimise promotional investments and deliver maximum customer value while driving business growth. This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week from our London office.

You will be responsible for utilising data driven insights, past performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities to improve ROI and impact through experimentation. This is a high impact role where you will bridge the gap between commercial objectives and customer experience.

What you'll be doing
  • End to end ownership of UKI local promotions and merchant offers. Partnering with central functions to identify market needs and partner requirements and defining the "where" and "how" to play, building and implementing a strategy to support these needs

  • Owning the team’s reporting cycle, delivering weekly and monthly performance analysis and campaigns. Identify emerging trends and data-driven optimisation areas to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Champion the voice of customers and partners in the promotional space, working closely with the commercial, finance, value & promotions and partner facing teams to stay up to date with partner needs and perspectives.

  • Partner with Insights and Data Science teams to develop a strong sense of Customer needs and key Qs and research that needs deploying.

  • Partner with central teams to adapt global strategies for the UKI market, ensuring regional priorities and merchant needs are embedded into business plans

  • Define and implement promo strategies to deliver on objectives and KPIs, ensuring best in class execution. Lead on trade offs and requests based on importance, urgency and impact.

  • Align promotional plans between different central and local marketing teams to ensure we have the right technical, reporting and targeting foundations in place for the plan.

  • Instrumental in defining the UKI customer and merchant promotional strategy. Driving high-value discount, vouchering, and offer initiatives that maximise local engagement, ROI, and partner growth.

  • Pitch and sell strategic promotional programmes to key commercial stakeholders to secure buy-in and maximum partner engagement.

  • Keep on top of competitor trends and activity to refine strategies in the regional market.

  • Owning the Go To Market strategy and sell-in for UKI promotions

Requirements
  • 3-4 years experience in Marketing or Commercial role, mandatory to have worked with value / promotional campaigns

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly commercial teams.

  • Experience presenting ideas and recommendations to senior leadership to gain buy in

  • You’re both analytical & commercial and you enjoy interpreting data to develop insight/consumer-led marketing strategy. Comfortable with analytical tools like excel.

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can manage multiple cross-departmental stakeholders; confident communicating at all levels

  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • You have a self-starter attitude and you’re able to thrive in a fast-paced matrixed organisation with constant change.

  • You have a proven track record in making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently.
