Job summary

Freedom is seeking a Service Engineer to join the HV maintenance team across the UK, focusing on HV switchgear and transformers. The position supports a wider Services group and involves UK-wide travel with stays away from home from Monday to Friday.

Candidates should have an engineering background (Electrical/Mechanical), good health and safety knowledge, and the ability to work to method statements. A flexible benefits package and company vehicle accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Preferably an HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Experience in transmission and distribution is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety and quality processes.
• Ability to follow method statements and risk assessments.
• Electrical and mechanical engineering expertise.
• Maintenance focus on HV Switchgear and transformers.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and asset management for switchgear and power transformers across the UK.
• Travel UK-wide as a service engineer, not fixed to one location.
• Work mainly on MV/HV switchgear and transformers (415V to 400kV).
• Provide service and maintenance work on equipment.
• Stay away from home the majority of the week (Mon-Fri).
