Job summary

Mirion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a UK Site Service Engineer located in Forss near Dounreay. This role involves responsibility for equipment and services support for the Dounreay site in Scotland, including maintenance of waste assay systems and calibration of monitoring instrumentation.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship and a minimum HNC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is desirable.
• Knowledge of radiation measurement instruments and gamma spectroscopy.
• Familiarity with working on nuclear licensed sites such as Dounreay, Sellafield, EDF or NRS.
• Strong initiative, motivation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance (British or EU passport holder).
• High level of English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and support of specialist and bespoke waste assay systems.
• Inspection, calibration, test and repair of nuclear related monitoring and detection instrumentation.
• Field service, technical support and troubleshooting to support Mirion’s customers.
• Liaison with customer’s project teams to allow smooth installation of equipment.
