Job Description

As UK Revenue Accounting Manager, your role will be responsible for the provision of long-term and short-term manufacturing, software, and customer service projects, ensuring accurate reporting and appropriate revenue recognition aligned with each milestone.

• Review and monitor contract performance, develop cost and revenue forecasts based on inputs from project management.
• Review revenue transactions to ensure correct application of revenue recognition rules, coordinating with business teams to gather necessary supporting documentation.
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial results with insightful analysis, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly intercompany tie-outs, oversight of unusual transactions, and reporting to help senior management understand business drivers.
• Document and maintain a clear audit trail for existing project accounting.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to monitor and report on project financials.
• Perform revenue testing for assigned areas, ensuring adherence to policies and internal controls.
• Account for key customer projects, such as Sample Management Solutions.
• Control project spending, particularly for engineering projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong background in Revenue Recognition and experience in Long-Term Project Accounting
• Excellent knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS standards
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• Experience with large-scale ERP systems; knowledge of Oracle Cloud and OneStream is a plus
• Strong focus on process improvement; Six Sigma and/or Lean training is advantageous; strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in complex, dynamic environments
• Experience working in a global company within a SOX-compliant environment is preferred
