Job summary

Crosslake Technologies is seeking a Tech Architect to lead client-facing architectural engagements across the United Kingdom and Europe. You will define target architectures, translate business needs into technical designs, and guide delivery teams through modern cloud-enabled solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, data architectures, and software delivery practices, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders and CTOs.

Qualifications

• Support technology engagements across a range of clients
• Work with investors, portfolio company leadership teams and technology leaders to define and deliver technical architectures enabling measurable business outcomes
• Assess current-state applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, integration patterns, data platforms and technical constraints
• Define target-state technical architectures aligned with business priorities, security, scalability, resilience and delivery feasibility
• Advise clients on cloud platforms, application modernisation, infrastructure, integration, software delivery tooling, data platforms and analytics environments
• Translate business and technology requirements into architecture principles, technical designs, transition plans and delivery priorities
• Develop and communicate architecture recommendations for senior technology leaders and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify risks, dependencies, technical debt and delivery constraints, and recommend mitigation approaches • Collaborate with client teams and Crosslake specialists across product, engineering, cloud, security, data and transformation
• Challenge assumptions and pressure-test proposed designs
• Develop prioritised roadmaps toward scalable, resilient and fit-for-purpose technology capabilities

Requirements

• Significant experience in technical, solutions or enterprise architecture, software engineering or related technical leadership roles
• Track record of designing and delivering complex technology solutions
• Strong practical knowledge of modern technical architectures and platforms, including cloud services, application architectures, infrastructure, integration patterns, software delivery practices, security and reliability
• Experience assessing existing technology estates and defining target-state architectures, transition approaches and delivery roadmaps
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, security, resilience, observability, performance, scalability and operational considerations
• Meaningful depth in data architecture and modern data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, integration patterns, data modelling, data governance, quality and analytics
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for senior business, data and technology stakeholders
• Credibility with senior technical leaders, including CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, Heads of Engineering, Heads of Data and enterprise architects
• Experience across the full technology lifecycle, from architecture and platform design through software delivery, deployment, operation, modernisation and continuous improvement
• Practical, hands‑on mindset with ability to move between architecture design, technical problem solving and client‑facing advisory work
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
• Consulting, advisory or multi‑client delivery experience is desirable
