Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join a UK-based IT architecture team in North Yorkshire. The role offers hybrid/home working and focuses on infrastructure, cloud and security, providing technical leadership across a broad IT environment.

You will translate business requirements into robust, scalable technology solutions and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver architecture that aligns with strategic objectives. The six-month contract may extend.

Technical Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join a UK-based IT architecture team. You will provide technical leadership and architectural direction across a broad IT environment, with a particular focus on infrastructure, cloud and security.

You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable and secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and promote IT and architecture strategies across the organisation.
• Provide technical architecture expertise, guidance and support, particularly across infrastructure and security.
• Define technical solutions and architectural approaches for new projects and business capabilities.
• Produce clear technical architecture designs, documentation and analysis.
• Assess solution options and their financial implications.
• Work with business and technology teams to design solutions aligned to strategic objectives.
• Coordinate the implementation and evolution of technical architectures.
• Support the evaluation and selection of technology products and standards.

Additional Information

The role requires occasional travel to branch locations, distribution centres, data centres and support centres as required, but this is expected to be infrequent.
