Job summary

A&O Shearman seeks a Payroll Specialist to join its Belfast payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage UK payroll processing, ensure timely payments, and handle contractor remittance for inside IR35.

You will work closely with HR and the Payroll Manager to validate data, perform reconciliations, and stay updated on payroll legislation. Previous experience in professional services is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong UK payroll knowledge and experience with end-to-end processing.
• Ability to calculate statutory payments and reconcile payroll data.
• Experience with RTI, PAYE, NI, and auto-enrolment processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process UK payrolls from data collection to final outputs and timely payments.
• Input and validate payroll changes including starters, leavers, and variations.
• Calculate statutory payments and handle deductions, loans, and salary sacrifices.
• Administer payroll for contractors inside IR35 and liaise with HR for queries.
