Tata Consultancy Services UK&I in London is seeking a UK Payroll SME to manage end-to-end UK payroll processes with a focus on accuracy and compliance. You will work in a hybrid model, partnering with a distributed team to deliver reliable payroll services and stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires SME-level payroll knowledge, strong analytical skills, and experience guiding offshore teams while driving process improvements and ensuring adherence to UK statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• End-to-end UK Payroll knowledge at SME level.
• Experience with Year Start/End activities and UAT events.
• Ability to mentor offshore teams and guide distributed workstreams.
• Strong analytical mindset for Payroll processes.
• Demonstrated process improvement capabilities.
• Solid understanding of UK payroll statutory compliance.
• Experience working with distributed/offshore teams.
• Familiar with O365 tools for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Vendor management of on-shore client and service providers.
• Clear KPI/SLA requirements understanding and delivery.
• Be the SME for UK Payroll queries across teams.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed with zero noncompliance.
• Maintain service levels consistently and reliably.
• Improve quality by following standards and recommending better procedures.
• Mentor and guide distributed teams.
