Job summary

Verto People is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to lead the commercial growth of vision systems, optical measurement equipment and precision measurement solutions across the UK. This role will drive sales performance for the metrology range and provide specialist technical support, quotations and product guidance to customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and commercial skills with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable measurement and inspection solutions.
• Experience presenting technical products, delivering training and collaborating with sales, product development and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial growth of vision systems, optical measurement equipment and precision measurement solutions across the UK.
• Manage the commercial performance of the metrology and optical product range, including sales, revenue, profitability and annual budget targets.
• Lead and develop a small specialist team, including two direct reports.
• Provide specialist technical support, product demonstrations, quotations and product selection guidance to customers, OEMs, distributors and the wider Sales team.
• Develop relationships and identify opportunities across metrology, machine tools, workholding, machining products, cutting tools and precision engineering markets.
• Monitor customer requirements, competitor activity and emerging technologies, working with Product Development, Marketing and Service to improve products, technical content and customer support.
• Deliver technical training covering metrology applications, calibration, software configuration, troubleshooting and diagnostics, across the UK.
