Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to join our UK Logistics team. You will drive standardisation, excellence and supplier performance across the UK network, building strong relationships with site teams and external partners.

You will travel to DS Smith sites, lead safety-focused process improvements and deliver lasting value through efficient logistics operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or broader supply chain.
• Understanding of logistics operations and transport planning.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across multiple locations.
• Willingness to travel regularly across UK sites.
• Experience managing supplier performance and operational KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the UK Logistics Strategy across DS Smith's UK operations.
• Drive standardisation of logistics processes and procedures.
• Implement consistent transport planning, orders, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain SLAs for Transport and Warehousing.
• Partner with site teams to embed new ways of working and support change.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety processes are followed.
• Manage relationships with external logistics partners and monitor KPIs.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities in transport and warehousing.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement and suppliers to optimise network performance.
