Job summary

Decathlon UK is seeking an Internal Control Specialist to embed a strong compliance culture and lead Level 2 controls across UK operations. You will work with Group Internal Control, external auditors and senior leaders to ensure IFRS/UK GAAP alignment, VAT, customs and SAPIN II compliance, and robust risk management.

You should be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIA) with at least 3 years in internal audit or internal control in retail or FMCG.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in internal audit or internal control in retail/ FMCG.
• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant/auditor (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIA).
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS, UK VAT and customs processes.
• Proven ability to design and embed policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Embed internal control culture across UK operations.
• Oversee Level 2 control testing across core processes.
• Coordinate audits with Group Internal Control and PwC.
• Maintain UK Risk & Control Matrix and remediation tracking.
• Lead cross-functional governance and training initiatives.
