Job summary

HireWise is seeking an HR Generalist to join our client’s team in Tamworth, Birmingham. The role provides operational HR support across the UK within a multinational structure, ensuring local practices align with global policies and systems.

The ideal candidate has 3-4 years in a generalist capacity and a CIPD qualification or equivalent. You will collaborate with regional HR teams, support payroll, and help maintain compliant HR processes across the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 3-4 years in a generalist capacity.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent (preferred)
• Continuous professional development in employment law (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to operate within a matrix, multi-country HR structure
• Strong communication, advisory, and organisational skills
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
• Experience supporting employee relations in a corporate or multinational environment

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes in coordination with global HR teams
• Administer employment contracts, probation reviews, and employee documentation in line with Irish employment law
• Manage exit processes and conduct exit interviews
• Act as a first point of contact for employee relations queries
• Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management matters
• Support investigations and hearings as required
• Ensure HR policies comply with local employment legislation
• Maintain employee data in compliance with EU GDPR and corporate data governance standards
• Support payroll administration, statutory leave, and benefits coordination
• Assist with benefits administration, including pension schemes and statutory leave entitlements
• Support performance review cycles and career development initiatives
• Assist with learning, training, and employee engagement programmes aligned with global HR priorities
• Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
• Prepare HR metrics and management reports for local and regional stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistency of HR practices
