Job summary

A global financial services firm is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage the integrity of financial information, oversee audits, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will play a crucial role in preparing statutory financial statements and leading audit processes. The ideal candidate will have qualifications from a big firm and a strong understanding of UK GAAP, with at least 5 years in financial control. This position requires excellent analytical and organizational skills, as well as advanced Excel capabilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant preferably from a Big Four.
• Minimum of 5 years’ PQE in financial control.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and FCA regulations.
• Expertise in financial statement preparation and managing audits.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison with external auditors during audits.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Lead preparation of FCA regulatory returns.
• Enhance internal financial controls and procedures.
• Support budgeting and finance projects as required.
