Job summary

Marc Daniels is recruiting an experienced UK Finance Manager to join a successful manufacturing business in Nottingham. You will own a broad finance function, combining strong financial control with commercial business partnering and work closely with senior leadership to drive performance.

The role involves month‑end reporting, budgeting, costings, cash flow management and strategic decision support, with responsibility for a small finance team and process improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification or qualified by experience.
• Previous finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience as Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial acumen.
• Experience in manufacturing costing, stock management and margin analysis.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.

• Previous finance experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar position.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge alongside commercial and analytical capabilities.

• Experience of manufacturing costing, stock management and profitability analysis.

• Ideally experienced within an SME or multi-site business environment.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and influence business decisions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
