Kemetyl Group is seeking a Finance Manager to lead UK financial reporting and accounting within our Nottingham-based team. You will report to the Group Financial Controller with a dotted line to the MD UK, driving profitability and strong financial controls.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with manufacturing, sales and management to support informed decisions. Fluency in English and valid UK work rights are essential.

Formación

• Proven expertise in financial management within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
• Qualified by CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software, preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• English fluency and the right to work in the UK.
• Experience with FMCG, chemicals manufacturing or international groups is an advantage.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the UK financial reporting and accounting processes, including monthly close and preparation of monthly management reports.
• Oversee AP/AR and support the development of the finance team.
• Manage statutory reporting, VAT, Plastic Packaging Tax, EPR and corporation tax, annual reports.
• Lead the external audit and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial performance management.
• Partner with manufacturing, sales and management to improve profitability.
• Coach and lead your Finance team member (1 HC).
• Own product costing, inventory accounting and full cost allocation.
• Evaluate business cases, pricing decisions, investments and customer profitability.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and credit management.
• Support payroll, IT and fleet management activities.
• Lead finance and process improvement projects.

This is a key role within the UK organisation, you will be part of the local management team and play an important role in driving profitable growth, strengthening financial control and providing insight to support business decisions. You will report to the Group Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Managing Director UK.

You will:

• Lead the UK financial reporting and accounting processes, including monthly close and preparation of monthly management reports
• Oversee AP/AR and support the development of the finance team

The areas of focus include:

• Financial reporting and accounting (approx. 40%);
• Commercial finance and business partnering (approx. 40%);
• Cash, working capital and credit management (approx. 10%);
• Payroll and business support (approx. 10%).

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven expertise in financial management within the industrial or manufacturing sector
• Qualified by Experience or Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Experience in FMCG, chemicals manufacturing or an international group would be an advantage
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is desirable
• Fluent English and the right to work in the UK
