Job summary

Alfred H Knight invites a Deputy UK Facilities Manager to join our Liverpool team. You will oversee maintenance, support services and asset management across the UK estate, acting as the technical authority for complex mechanical, electrical, and structural concerns.

As a multi-skilled engineer, you will mentor engineers, lead PPМ activities, and manage budgets and service contracts to deliver reliable facilities operations and ROI improvement.

Qualifications

• Understanding of CMMS platforms and how to leverage asset data to drive efficiency.
• Thorough knowledge of UK statutory compliance standards within commercial/industrial buildings.
• Ability to adapt management style to a diverse team of engineers and trainees.
• Balance quick fixes with long-term financial asset management to maximise ROI on building systems.
• Logical approach to handling unexpected, high-impact infrastructure failures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Maintenance and Facilities Support Services teams across the UK estate.
• Act as the internal technical authority for complex mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
• Oversee support services including cleaning, waste management, security, and reception.
• Assist in development and management of facilities budgets and service contracts.
