Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) is expanding its footprint in the UK meetings and events sector, seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to build high-value pipelines and convert opportunities into RFPs.

You'll own 100% of your pipeline through cold outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting, partnering with senior leaders to target corporate and association clients across the UK and beyond. This role demands strong networking, presentation skills, and independent work ethic.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a commercial role within UK meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify and target new business across the UK and international markets.
• Meet and exceed lead-generation goals and KPIs for qualified appointments.
• Self-generate 100% of your pipeline via cold calling, email outreach and networking.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify new markets and buyer personas.
• Conduct site inspections, virtual tours and client presentations.
• Maintain accurate CRM activity and pipeline data.
• Attend trade shows and agency events to prospect for new business.
