Job summary

TalentCloud Group, partnering with a leading international law firm, seeks a dual-qualified UK and European Patent Attorney to join its London patent practice. You will work on cutting-edge technologies spanning software, AI, electronics, engineering, and related fields, advising on portfolio development and IP strategy.

You will draft high-quality applications, prosecute before UKIPO/EPO/WIPO, and support cross-border matters while collaborating with international colleagues.

Qualifications

• Dual-qualified UK & European Patent Attorney with PQE 1-3 years.
• Excellent drafting and prosecution experience before UKIPO and/or EPO.
• Ability to manage matters independently and prioritize effectively.
• Experience across software, electronics, AI, or high-tech fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with client-focused advising.
• Collaborative and proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Draft high-quality patent applications across diverse technologies.
• Prosecute before UKIPO, EPO, and WIPO as required.
• Advise clients on portfolio development and IP strategy.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability assessments.
• Support due diligence for financing rounds, M&A and other transactions.
• Assist with contentious matters including oppositions and appeals.
• Collaborate with international colleagues on cross-border matters.
