Page White Farrer, a boutique UK/European patent attorney firm, seeks a Trainee Patent Attorney in London to work directly with partners on AI, software and data science innovations. You will draft and prosecute patent applications and contribute to IP strategies for fast-growing tech clients.

From day one, you’ll gain hands-on responsibility across diverse technologies, with strong mentoring to become a UK/European Patent Attorney. Hybrid working and a structured training path are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts quickly.
• Interest in AI, software, data science and security.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse inventions, draft and prosecute UK/EU/international patent applications.
• Advise on patentability and infringement issues for AI, software, data science and related tech.
• Help develop intellectual property strategies that support clients' business objectives.
• Gain early responsibility with direct client exposure and mentoring during training.
