Job summary

AECOM seeks an Associate Director to lead Environmental and Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) and Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) services across the UK & Ireland. The role involves technical leadership, quality assurance with a network of partners, and growing the environmental compliance business.

The successful candidate will manage delivery across UK&I, support planning and consent commitments, and help shape a scalable, high-quality service for major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Environmental and / or Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction-phase ecological and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience working with contractors and construction delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as UK&I lead for ECoW and EnvCoW services.
• Lead verifier for ECoW-related deliverables from internal teams and partners.
• Ensure projects are resourced, mobilised and delivered to quality standards.
