Second Front Systems, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our UK team. You will design and scale secure cloud infra using Kubernetes and Pulumi, build CI/CD pipelines, and support operations across air-gapped environments for government and defence work.

We require DV clearance eligibility, UK residency, and travel to customer sites. The role offers remote work in the UK with occasional travel and on-site presence at accredited facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in DevSecOps, systems engineering, or infra software development.
• Architect-level cloud platforms design with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native orchestration expertise.
• Golang or similar language with IaC focus.
• Experience in air-gapped or classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, secure cloud infra with Kubernetes and Pulumi.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps practices end-to-end.
• Integrate SIEM and security tooling for observability and compliance.
• Develop Go microservices with performance and security focus.
• Collaborate with UK defence partners to meet accreditation criteria.
