Senior Platform Engineer | DV Cleared | MOD Programmes

SR2 are partnering with a major technology consultancy supporting critical MOD and defence transformation programmes across highly secure environments.

This is a hands‑on platform engineering opportunity working across cloud and on‑prem environments, helping deliver large‑scale MOD platform and data capabilities.

• Location: London (West London MOD site near Hounslow) or Corsham MOD site
• Travel: Expected onsite presence 4-5 days per week
• Clearance: Active MOD‑held DV required

This role sits within a rapidly growing defence technology function supporting MOD digital and data programmes, including cloud and platform transformation work.

Key environment and project themes include:

• On-prem to AWS migration programmes
• Kubernetes and container platforms
• Infrastructure automation and scripting
• Secure MOD cloud environments
• Defence Data Analytics Platform (DDAP) related work

The team are looking for engineers who are genuinely platform‑focused rather than traditional infrastructure engineers.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong Platform or DevOps engineering background
• AWS experience (Azure acceptable if AWS exposure exists)
• CI/CD pipeline build experience
• Kubernetes, observability and automation exposure
• Mentorship or informal leadership experience
• Experience within MOD, defence or national security environments
