Job Description:

Our last-mile delivery partners are crucial to our service, and we work closely with them to make sure deliveries large and small get to where they need to be. As a Snr Account Manager, you’ll make sure we have the best relationship possible with our partners. You’ll build connections, help them put processes in place for efficient delivery, and smooth out any issues they experience, all with the aim of creating a partnership that’s successful for many years.

Key job responsibilities
Support last-mile delivery partners across the UK and Europe to meet compliance requirements and prepare routes
Hold regular meetings with partners
Resolve partner pain points
Use data to understand partner performance and support improvements

A day in the life
You’ll be based at one of our sites. Being on site allows you to stay close to every part of the delivery process and means you have visibility of everything to guide our logistics partners. You’ll look after all elements of our partner relationships, from getting the contracts in place to keeping track of performance.

This role is all about clear communication. You’ll be in daily contact with the partners you manage to make sure they have everything they need to carry out deliveries on time.

About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A degree
- Relevant experience in account management in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and in the local language
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- Relevant experience in using data analytics to solve problems such as customer, partner or business performance issues

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or distribution
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- A bachelor’s, master’s or advanced degree in business management, economics, law, engineering or supply chain and logistics
