Job summary

Scale is seeking a senior commercial leader to own UK defence and national security engagements, reporting to the Public Sector leader. You’ll manage MOD and defence-related opportunities, shaping the commercial plan and leading deals from first conversation to delivery.

With established relationships in defence and security, you’ll navigate frameworks, security clearances, and cross-agency procurement to win new work and eventually build a small dedicated team as the market expands.

Qualifications

Sold and delivered technology or transformation work into UK defence or national security.
Understanding of defence/public sector procurement: frameworks, tenders, single-source rules.
Experience opening doors, running complex pursuits and owning the result.
Established relationships with senior defence personnel.

Responsibilities

Own our commercial plan and pipeline for UK defence and security.
Find, shape, and close deals from first conversation through to delivery.
Leverage existing MOD/Defence Digital/UK Strategic Command/DE&S/Dstl relationships.
Navigate defence procurement frameworks and security clearances.
Deliver credible coordination with senior military and civil service leaders.
Hire and lead a small team as the work grows.
