Robinhood Markets, Inc. is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the UK Risk & Compliance team from our London office. This role requires SMF16 approval and close collaboration with the FCA and other authorities.

Qualifications

• Based in the United Kingdom.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of previous regulatory compliance experience within a relevant FCA-regulated firm.
• Approval for FCA Senior Management Function SMF16 or ability to obtain it.
• Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty, UK Money Laundering Regulations and SM&CR.
• Experience managing FCA Supervisory and Authorisations interactions and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• A pragmatic and risk-based approach to compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an international team environment, across large projects with multiple work streams and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge and demonstrable use of AI

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the firm's compliance framework in accordance with FCA rules and applicable legislation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
• Develop and deliver the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
• Provide practical regulatory advice to senior management on investments and crypto products and business initiatives and associated regulatory obligations.
• Act as a primary contact for the FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Own Consumer Duty oversight.
• Oversee financial crime and AML frameworks with the MLRO.
• Identify and assess risks with the 1st line of defence.
• Review financial promotions, website content and marketing communications to ensure compliance with FCA requirements.
• Chair Risk & Compliance Committee.
• Provide training, guidance and independent investigation of compliance matters to support and lead UK Risk & Compliance team members.
• Set and promote the firm’s core values, risk culture and risk appetite at Board level
