Job summary

RM Education is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our UK team. You will provide 3rd line support for in-house applications, deploy updates, patches and hotfixes, and oversee hosting to meet SLA commitments.

You will work as part of a Technical Operations team, driving CSI initiatives and sharing knowledge across the group. The role operates on a hybrid basis with some weekend shifts and early/late hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to act as escalation point
• Time management to prioritise tasks based on business impact
• Outstanding interpersonal skills aligned with RM values
• Proven problem-solving, capable of root-cause analysis and reporting
• Experience supporting internal and client-facing cloud-hosted applications
• Experience supporting production-grade environments in AWS and/or Azure
• Experience with SQL and/or Postgres databases and writing complex queries

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line support for in-house applications, deploy updates and patches
• Oversee hosting and platform service, monitor logs and alerts to ensure SLA compliance
• Drive continual service improvement and CSI participation across Technical Operations
• Share knowledge across the team to improve operational capability
