UI Graphic Designer - Web Apps

Compensation: £35,000 - £45,000 / year

Description

This is an exciting role where your job will be to support the IT Director by planning and leading the implementation of UI graphic design for our products and services. You will need to understand our offerings end to end to deliver a great user experience for diverse audiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design UI Elements: Create high-quality, reusable UI components such as buttons, icons, forms, and layouts for web applications, ensuring consistency across the Portal and CMS Web Apps.
• Develop Design Templates: Craft standardized colour schemes, typography, and design templates to maintain a cohesive aesthetic across all web interfaces.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with developers and stakeholders to translate requirements into polished, user-centric designs.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all designs adhere to Convey365 brand guidelines, enhancing recognition and coherence.
• Prototype Creation: Build and iterate design prototypes to demonstrate UI concepts and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Feedback Integration: Incorporate reviews and testing feedback to refine designs for usability and visual appeal.
• Video Editing: Improve existing videos and create new videos to support our systems, which is desirable.
• Manage your work allocation, productivity, and quality with minimal supervision.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate values aligned with our culture. To succeed, you should evidence at least 3 years of experience in:

• UI graphic design for comparable Web Apps.
• Proficiency in authoring tools such as Figma, Canva, or similar; video editing skills are a plus.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript related to design.
• Experience collaborating with development teams to improve user experience, including content refinement and visual creation for technical support.
• Ability to quickly learn complex topics.
• Proficiency in MS Office apps like Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Video editing skills in software like Adobe Premiere and Synthesia are desirable.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships, being approachable.
• Good time management and flexibility.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.

Portfolio and Showcase

A strong portfolio of your UI design work with Web Apps is desirable. If successful, you will be asked to showcase your skills by redesigning a screen within one of our Web Apps during the interview process.
