Lighthouse Games in Leamington Spa is seeking a UI Engineer to craft engaging UI for our games. You will work at the intersection of design and tech, turning concepts into performant interface components and collaborating closely with artists and designers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a UI Engineer or similar role in the gaming or tech industry.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C++ and C# for UI development.
• Familiar with game engines, preferably Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain user interface systems within the game engine, ensuring high-quality performance.
• Collaborate with design and art teams to create and optimize UI elements and components.
• Translate design mockups and prototypes into functional user interfaces.
• Optimize UI layouts for different screen sizes and resolutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot UI-related issues throughout the development process.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in UI development.
