Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a UI Engineer to work with design, animation, and audio teams to develop and implement UI for an unannounced project. You will write and debug UI code, ensuring it meets functional and technical requirements and adheres to coding standards.

You should have professional game development experience, strong C++ skills, and a solid understanding of Unity and Unreal Engine 5. Excellent communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing games professionally and shipping AAA titles.
• Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools.
• Experience using industry-standard engines such as Unity and UE5.
• Strong math skills and ability to reason about algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with art, design, sound in implementing the UI.
• Write code that fulfills functional and technical requirements of the UI.
• Participate in UI design and testing activities.
• Adhere to coding standards for the project.
• Research coding techniques to stay current in game development.
• Identify risks and propose solutions to overcome obstacles.
