Job summary

Playground Games in Leamington Spa is seeking an experienced UI Engineer to support the Forza Horizon team. You will work across art, design and engineering to deliver UI features and core tech on our proprietary engine, with a focus on performance and polish.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ skills, demonstrable UI work on at least one published title (AAA preferred), and a passion for games. On-site role with onboarding via a managed service provider.

Qualifications

• UI Engineering experience with demonstrable work on at least one published title (ideally AAA).
• Strong C++ experience.
• Knowledge of existing UI frameworks such as WPF and proprietary engine development is a plus.
• Excellent task planning and delivery mindset.
• A genuine passion for video games.

Responsibilities

• Implement compelling UI features which are key to our project’s vision.
• Develop core UI and engine features within our custom, proprietary engine.
• Work closely with the UI Art team to empower them through our technology.
• Become a key collaborator who can work effectively within a large multi-disciplined team.
