Job summary

Birchwell Digital is seeking a UI Designer to craft refined responsive interfaces and visual assets for web and mobile. You will work within a collaborative design team, turning UX thinking and brand direction into polished user experiences.

You will partner with UX, product, design-system and engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality interfaces, contribute to design systems, and ensure accessibility and usability across projects in a hybrid Birmingham-based role.

Qualifications

• Commercial UI/visual design experience in digital products.
• Strong portfolio showing web and mobile work.
• Advanced Figma with auto layout knowledge.
• Solid typography, spacing and responsive design.
• Understanding of accessibility in design.
• Ability to collaborate with UX and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity responsive interface designs for web and mobile products.
• Develop visual concepts, interaction patterns and detailed component states.
• Work from UX flows and wireframes to deliver polished product experiences.
• Contribute to design systems, component libraries and visual standards.
• Prepare developer-ready files, specifications and design documentation.
• Support design critique, accessibility reviews and quality assurance during delivery.
