Segritude Games was established in May 2023. We are a passionate start-up game development company committed to creating unique, immersive gaming experiences. Our growing team brings together various skills and expertise, working collectively to develop a game that stands out in the industry.

As a start-up, we offer a flexible contract agreement requiring a minimum of (15 hours per week.) You will be using our Clock-in portal on Discord to record your hours. We are actively pursuing investment and funding opportunities to support and pay our team based on revenue from sales or secured funding. This is a great opportunity to be part of a promising start-up.

Our HR Staff ensures that your hours are recorded and tracked at all times to ensure we know how much we will be required to pay you at the time of securing an investment.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is a remote contract role for a UI Artist at Segritude Games. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the gameplay experience for our stylized multiplayer survival game built in Unreal Engine 5. This includes menus, HUDs, icons, inventory systems, and other interactive elements.

You’ll collaborate with UX Designers, Game Designers, Programmers, and other Artists to ensure UI visuals not only look great but also support gameplay clarity and consistency with the game’s stylized art direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design UI assets including HUDs, menus, icons, tooltips, and in-game UI elements.
• Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize UI flows and layouts.
• Translate game design goals and user experience needs into functional UI visuals.
• Collaborate with the team to implement assets and maintain consistency in style and quality.
• Work within Unreal Engine 5 (UMG) to test and visualize UI layouts in engine (if familiar).
• Iterate on feedback and refine UI assets for polish, usability, and clarity.
• Maintain a consistent visual style aligned with the overall game art direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience as a UI Artist in game development.
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of color theory, composition, visual hierarchy, and typography.
• Ability to work from wireframes and UX documents to create clean, readable layouts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain visual consistency across all UI elements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• A strong passion for games, user experience, and creating stylish, functional UI.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Experience with rigging and basic animation
• Knowledge of PBR workflows and modern game asset creation techniques
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine for asset implementation
• Experience with environment design and set dressing
• Experience creating stylized or realistic assets for games
