Senior Unified Communications Consultant – Microsoft Teams Voice & Avaya Migration

Location: Remote (UK-based preferred) with occasional customer site visits

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced Senior Unified Communications Consultant to lead a full discovery and transformation report for migrating an enterprise Avaya telephony environment to Microsoft Teams Voice. The candidate will produce a comprehensive report detailing current architecture, deployment options, migration stages, risks, and support strategies.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Leading discovery workshops with client stakeholders
• Assessing existing Avaya telephony architecture
• Mapping current to target Microsoft Teams architecture
• Evaluating deployment options and organizational readiness
• Developing a staged migration strategy with timelines and costs
• Creating detailed reports with executive summaries, recommendations, migration plans, and technical diagrams

Requirements include proven experience with PBX to Microsoft Teams Voice migration, deep knowledge of Avaya systems and telephony infrastructure, expertise in Microsoft Teams Voice ecosystem, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Certifications such as Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Expert and Avaya certifications are preferred.
