Job summary

Barnardo’s is recruiting a Project Worker to support the Ubuntu Project across Northern Ireland, delivering community development activities and direct work with children, young people and families seeking sanctuary. This is a part-time maternity cover role, 18.5 hours per week, with flexible base and predominantly daytime hours.

The post focuses on Ubuntu Community Development offerings across three strands, with occasional evenings, weekends, and short residentials arranged in advance.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating workshops and training in community and youth settings.
• Ability to deliver Ubuntu Community Development offerings across NI.
• Willingness to work part-time with daytime hours and occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct work across Northern Ireland supporting Ubuntu Project activities.
• Develop and facilitate community development workshops and training.
• Contribute to planning and delivery across the three Ubuntu strands.
