Job summary

Malloy Aeronautics Ltd. is seeking a Control Unit Operator to support UAV flight operations from prototype to production. You will configure aircraft systems, manage batteries, prepare ground equipment, monitor in-flight performance, and assist engineers and pilots in validating systems for safe deployment.

Role requires security clearance eligibility and UK residence. You will participate in trials, data logging, and post-flight reviews to improve test procedures and flight readiness across UK

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in UAV GCS, telemetry, or IT systems.
• Basic understanding of UAV flight dynamics and test instrumentation.
• Hands-on ability to perform field repairs and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Operate UAV command unit interfaces and provide live feedback to remote Pilots.
• Attend trials and support demo flights in UK and abroad.
• Support root cause analysis via flight logs and sensor data.
• Prepare and configure UAV platforms for flight testing and calibration.
• Execute flight test plans with Pilots, engineers, and operations teams.
• Collect and download flight data using log viewers and QGC/MissionPlanner.
