Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is seeking an experienced UAT Test Manager to own user acceptance testing for a large-scale transformation programme. This critical role ensures solutions meet business requirements and are ready for deployment across multiple sites.

Contract: 6 months outside IR35, £450-£500 per day, 3 days per week onsite in the Glasgow area. Lead the full UAT lifecycle, design end-to-end scenarios, coordinate testers, oversee defect triage, and report progress to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full UAT lifecycle from strategy and planning through execution, defect management and business sign‑off.
• Design end-to-end business acceptance scenarios that validate processes and outcomes.
• Coordinate testers, engage business users and SMEs, balancing testing with operations.
• Drive UAT execution, monitor progress, manage risks and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee defect triage and resolution to align with programme timelines.
• Support data migration validation and integration testing from a business acceptance perspective.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Engineering in an Agile delivery environment.

This is a business-critical role responsible for ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, meet business requirements, and are ready for deployment across a complex, multi-site and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full UAT lifecycle, from strategy and planning through to execution, defect management and business sign-off.
• Design realistic end-to-end business acceptance scenarios that validate business processes and operational outcomes.
• Engage, coordinate and support business users and SMEs acting as testers, balancing testing activities with operational priorities.
• Drive UAT execution, monitor progress, manage risks and provide clear status reporting to programme stakeholders.
• Oversee defect triage and resolution, ensuring issues are prioritised appropriately and resolved in line with programme timelines.
• Support data migration validation and integration testing activities from a business acceptance perspective.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Engineering teams within an Agile delivery environment.
