Job summary

Harvey Nash Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Test Manager for a 12‑month contract. The role involves leading testing across a major technology and business transformation within a public sector organisation.

The incumbent will drive test strategy, SIT, UAT, defect management, and reporting, coordinating migrations and tool transitions (AIX to cloud, Java to OpenJDK, SharePoint Hub Sites) while navigating Agile and Waterfall environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in test strategy and testing lifecycle.

• Experience migrating platforms and using Agile/Waterfall.

Test Manager

Glasgow (12 month contract)

£500 p/d Outside IR35

Experienced Test Manager required to lead testing across a major business and technology transformation programme within a public centre organisation

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in test strategy, SIT, UAT, defect management, execution, and reporting.
• Proven delivery across large-scale technology and business change programmes.
• Experience supporting:
  • Migration of Case Management platforms from AIX to an x86 cloud-ready environment.
  • Java to OpenJDK migrations.
  • Migration of files from on-premises shared drives to SharePoint Hub Sites.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Purview, Power Apps, Power BI, and Copilot.
• Understanding of information governance, data migration, and digital workplace transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Desirable: ISTQB certification and experience managing third-party testing suppliers.
