Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is representing a Tyre Technician role at a busy Crawley retail centre. The Tyre Technician will fit, replace and repair tyres, and assist with fast-fit mechanical work including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer care, and adherence to high industry standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of tyre experience, a valid UK driving licence, and relevant Level 2 qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months.
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent; Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV will be considered.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Tyre Technician.
• Passion for the Automotive industry and willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs.
• Completing fast-fit mechanical work including exhaust and brake repairs.
• Carrying out basic servicing work.
• Maintaining accurate documentation per company policies.
• Ensuring work is high quality and clean after service.
• Collaborating with workshop team to hit targets.
• Working safely per health and safety procedures.
