Job summary

iCOMAT is seeking a Production Planner and Logistics Coordinator to own the master production schedule across Gloucester and Swindon. You will coordinate with Purchasing, manage material flow, and ensure capacity and stock align with schedules using SYSPRO and MRP.

This role demands hands-on planning, inventory accuracy and willingness to travel between sites. You will drive the scheduling process, raise issues early, and maintain data integrity across routing, BOMs, and stock levels, enabling

Qualifications

• Proven production planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP / MRP planning and scheduling, hands-on with systems.
• Solid understanding of routings, work centres, run times and lead times.
• Practical stores, stock control and inventory accuracy experience.
• Analytical mindset with ability to build and defend numbers.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Gloucester and Swindon; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer sales orders and confirm capacity and material support delivery dates.
• Own master production schedule for Gloucester and Swindon; sequence workloads efficiently.
• Generate manufacturing works orders from MRP and ensure correct routing.
• Issue and track daily/weekly Work-to-List to Production and monitor adherence.
• Load capacity in MRP; flag capacity gaps and opportunities.
• Maintain data integrity in SOPs; keep routings, work centres and BOMs accurate.
• Plan around planned absence, shutdowns and maintenance windows.
• Coordinate with Buyer for supplier timelines and assist with scheduling materials.
