Job summary

Wave Multi-Academy Trust is seeking a part-time Estates Technician to maintain two academy sites, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and supervise contractors. The role involves checking safety systems, keeping records, and keeping the grounds tidy, with a hands-on approach across carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and painting.

You will work across Glendinning and Torlands Academies, ensuring buildings are safe, secure and well maintained while adhering to health and safety and COSHH

Qualifications

• Experience across a range of building maintenance tasks.
• Ability to supervise contractors and keep maintenance records.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Prohibition from teaching check where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organise and carry out planned maintenance
• Carry out reactive maintenance and essential repairs
• Carry out routine checks to keep buildings safe and compliant
• Keep buildings in optimum working condition
• Supervise contractors
• Keep maintenance records
• Maintain site security
• Maintain grounds and external areas
• Apply health and safety, COSHH and risk management practice
• Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and visitors
• Work as an essential part of the wider Estates Team
