Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time housekeeping assistant for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role covers cleaning wards, theatres, and public areas to infection control standards, with damp dusting, waste removal and restocking.

Twilight shifts include alternating weekends and no sponsorship is available. The team operates under COSHH, maintains records, and supports audits.

Mansioni

• Clean wards, departments, public areas, theatres and other areas to Trust standards and work schedules.
• Carry out damp dusting, high and low cleaning, replenishing disposables, emptying bins and deep cleans where applicable.
• Apply infection control throughout, including COSHH and using colour-coded equipment.
• Prepare and use chemicals safely under COSHH data sheets and training.
• Keep clear records as evidence cleaning took place and address audit findings.
• Report defects via the Trust Estates system and log incidents on Datix.
• Follow the Trust flushing regime to limit Legionella.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder weekly or as needed.
• Handle physical tasks safely with cleaning equipment and moving items.
• Secure areas at end of shift and respond to ad hoc requests.
