Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced Early Years Room Leader to lead the Tweenies Room in a Great Barr nursery. You will manage daily operations, support practitioners, maintain staff-to-child ratios, and deliver play-based activities aligned with the EYFS to promote development.

The role offers a permanent contract, 40 hours per week, a salary of £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience, and opportunities for flexible hours by arrangement. ASAP start available.

Qualifications

• Required Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Previous Room Leader experience is essential.
• Experience in a nursery/EYFS setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Tweenies Room and manage day-to-day operations.
• Support, guide and supervise a team of practitioners.
• Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and ensure high-quality care.
• Plan and deliver play-based activities in line with EYFS.
• Promote safeguarding and nursery procedures at all times.
