Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support students in the Suffolk area who are disengaged from mainstream education. The role focuses on building confidence, re-engaging learners, and delivering tailored, flexible tuition.

You will work individually to adapt approaches, support SEND needs, and help pupils progress, with eligibility including right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on update service.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a young person's life? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutors to support students in the Suffolk area who are currently disengaged from mainstream education for a variety of reasons.

This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils on an individual basis, helping to rebuild confidence, re-engage them with learning, and support their academic and personal development in a tailored, flexible way.

About the Role:

• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of each student
• Support students with a range of needs, including SEND and those who are disengaged from education

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent, or relevant tutoring experience
• UK classroom teaching experience or tutoring experience
• Creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
• Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Have an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references
