Job summary

HMP Huntercombe is seeking an occasional tutor to deliver engaging, hands-on sessions across ESOL, English, Maths and Digital Skills. You will cover existing tutors and contribute to a varied curriculum in the prison setting.

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; industry experience or strong subject knowledge will be supported toward qualification. Sessions run Mon-Thu, 08:30-11:30 and 13:30-16:30 throughout the year.

Job description

The occasional tutor will provide cover for existing tutors in a range of subjects including ESOL, English, Maths and Digital Skills to cover and enrich our curriculum.

We are looking for teachers who can deliver engaging, hands-on sessions across the curriculum. Whether you are an experienced tutor or seeking move into teaching with the prison setting, your passion and creativity are what matter most.

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential - if you have industry experience or a strong subject specialism, we will support you to gain a teaching qualification.

Education runs all year round, Monday-Thursday (08:30-11:30 and 13:30-16:30).
