Job summary

Remedy Tutors, part of Remedy Recruitment Group, seeks dedicated Prison Education Tutors to support learners in prison education settings across Wolverhampton. This role delivers tailored, engaging lessons to adults in custody, helping them gain qualifications and improve employment prospects.

Role involves 1:1 and small-group tuition, adapting to diverse abilities, and working with prison staff to achieve learner outcomes. DBS and prison clearance required.

Qualifications

• QTS/PGCE or equivalent preferred.
• Experience teaching Maths/English/Science/Functional Skills.
• Ability to engage hard-to-reach learners.
• Strong behaviour management and communication.
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
• Enhanced DBS and willingness to undergo prison security clearance.
• Involvement with Alternative Provision, SEND and SEMH, ESOL, vocational training.

Responsibilities
