Job summary

Milton Keynes College is seeking occasional tutors to join its Prison Services Team at HMP Huntercombe. You will cover ESOL, English, Maths and Digital Skills with engaging, hands-on instruction in a prison setting.

Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; industry experience or a strong subject specialism may be supported to gain a teaching qualification. Education runs Mon-Thu, year-round, with morning and afternoon sessions.

Hours: Variable / Ad-hoc

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm

Salary: £29.64 per hour

Milton Keynes College Prison Services Team is seeking Occasional Tutors to join our education team at HMP Huntercombe. This is a unique opportunity to share your creativity with learners.

The occasional tutor will provide cover for existing tutors in a range of subjects including ESOL, English, Maths and Digital Skills to cover and enrich our curriculum.

We are looking for teachers who can deliver engaging, hands-on sessions across the curriculum. Whether you are an experienced tutor or seeking move into teaching with the prison setting, your passion and creativity are what matter most.

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential – if you have industry experience or a strong subject specialism, we will support you to gain a teaching qualification.

Education runs all year round, Monday–Thursday (08:30–11:30 and 13:30–16:30).
